Perched along a scenic stretch of the Hudson River, Haverstraw Elks Lodge No. 877 is the kind of place where the Exalted Ruler walks over to introduce himself before you've even settled into your seat. That's not a policy, that's just how things work here. Reviewers consistently mention moments like that, and they're not accidents. They're the product of a membership that actually shows up.

The building and grounds are meticulously maintained, and the water views from the property are the real thing. On a clear day, the Hudson stretches out wide and unhurried, making it one of the more memorable backdrops for any event in Rockland County. Family Christmas parties, fraternal dinners, community fundraisers, and casual member nights all happen here throughout the year, giving the lodge a rhythm that keeps the calendar full and the doors open.

This is a lodge where people like Patrick and Jim strike up genuine conversations with strangers, where the atmosphere feels earned rather than manufactured. With a 4.8-star rating across nearly 200 reviews, the reputation isn't built on marketing. It's built on what happens after you walk through the door.
